Community-led change in rural Uganda

Working alongside communities in southwest Uganda to help children stay in school, women build independent incomes, and families create healthier futures.

Who we are

Kashare Interactive Community Support works with rural communities in Kashare, South West Uganda to improve education, livelihoods, health and access to basic resources.
Since 2009, KICS has remained a committed presence, supporting practical areas of daily life from literacy and school support to small business loans, agriculture, water and sanitation.
The work is rooted in local priorities and shaped by what communities need to build stronger and more secure futures.

Listen

We work closely with local communities to understand the challenges families face and support solutions shaped by lived experience and day-to-day realities.

Partner

Kanaama’s programmes are delivered through long-standing collaboration between a volunteer-led UK charity team and an experienced local team in Uganda.

Support

We focus on practical support that builds long-term resilience, from education and literacy programmes to savings and loan groups, farming initiatives, and small businesses.
